Just Right Reader Debuts Literacy Games for PreK-2 Students
More than 375 hands-on literacy activities are heading to classrooms and homes as Just Right Reader launches its new Science of Reading Take-Everywhere Games. Designed for PreK-2 students, the collection turns phonics practice into interactive play, reinforcing decoding, spelling, and vocabulary skills through a research-based, portable format.

The games integrate directly with the company’s existing Take-Everywhere Literacy Packs, allowing students to bridge the gap between classroom phonics instruction and home practice. Developed alongside literacy experts like Stanford University’s Dr. Lucy Hart Paulson, the activities utilize word-building exercises and meaning-based riddles to solidify foundational reading skills. CEO Sara Rich noted that the materials aim to remove the guesswork for families while keeping students engaged through multisensory interaction.
To ensure accessibility, the program includes video guides that support both educators and parents in navigating the activities. These resources are available in multiple languages, reflecting a broader effort to provide consistent, evidence-based support across different learning environments. By packaging these tools in a portable, backpack-ready format, the company seeks to create a continuous loop of practice that follows the student beyond the school day.
