Aligned Data Centers Backs Frederick County Youth Programs
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Frederick County has secured a new corporate partner in Aligned Data Centers, a move designed to bolster local youth services through direct financial sponsorship. This collaboration kicks off with Aligned serving as the co-presenting sponsor for the organization’s second annual Blue & Bubbly event.
The partnership arrives as the organization faces increasing demand for affordable programming. Proceeds from the upcoming dinner at 7th Sister Restaurant aim to sustain membership accessibility, a critical need given that approximately 56% of the children currently served by the club rely on financial aid to cover their dues.
Timika Thrasher, CEO of the Frederick County clubs, emphasized that the backing of corporate entities is essential to maintaining their mission of providing equitable opportunities for local youth. Joanna Soucy, EVP of Brand Strategy at Aligned, noted that the investment aligns with the company’s broader goal of fostering strong foundations within the communities where their data centers operate. By subsidizing these programs, the initiative ensures that no child is turned away due to an inability to pay, reinforcing the club's long-standing policy of scholarship-based participation.
