In-Situ Automates Field Documentation with New VuSitu Reporting
Technicians in Fort Collins can now bypass manual clipboards as Ott | In-Situ integrates automated deployment reporting directly into the VuSitu mobile app. The update compiles instrument settings, site conditions, and calibration logs into a single digital record, syncing instantly to the HydroVu platform before staff even leave the field.
The new feature functions as a digital assistant, capturing site observations, telemetry data, and sensor swap details across the company's hardware lineup, including the Aqua TROLL, Level TROLL, and RDO series. By consolidating these logs into one formatted document, the app eliminates the need for post-visit data entry, ensuring that field notes remain linked to specific hardware configurations for long-term reference.
Tom Koniuta, product manager at Ott | In-Situ, noted that the tool aims to reduce the administrative burden on teams, allowing technicians to focus on site tasks rather than manual record-keeping. The generated reports are accessible via the latest version of VuSitu on iOS and Android, providing a centralized history that teams can audit years after the initial deployment.
