Forza Horizon 6 PS5 launch shifted to January 2027
The highly anticipated arrival of Forza Horizon 6 on PlayStation 5 has been pushed back, with Playground Games confirming a new release date of January 26, 2027. This move shifts the title away from its original 2026 window, aligning the console debut with a major upcoming expansion for the series.
The delay ensures the PS5 version launches alongside fresh content, which will simultaneously roll out for existing Xbox and PC players. To incentivize the wait, the studio plans to offer a Premium Edition for Sony's platform, granting early access to the game up to five days before the official January release.
Forza Horizon 6 first reached Xbox and PC audiences on May 15. The decision to bring the franchise to PlayStation follows the success of Forza Horizon 5, which saw a strong reception after its cross-platform release last year. By synchronizing the expansion launch with the PS5 debut, the developers aim to provide a unified experience across all hardware.
