Boehringer joined the board in 2015, navigating the company through a period of significant growth and structural transformation. He was a primary architect behind the development of the "One TORM" platform, an initiative credited with centralizing the firm's operational excellence and safety standards. Simon Mackenzie Smith, Chair of TORM, noted that Boehringer’s strategic judgment was instrumental in shaping the company’s current market position.

Following this departure, the board continues with five members: Simon Mackenzie Smith, Annette Malm Justad, Göran Trapp, Jann Brown, and Jacob Meldgaard. TORM, based in Hellerup, operates a global fleet of product tankers and remains listed on both the Nasdaq in Copenhagen and New York.
