Global Leaders to Convene at Oxford for Generative AI Summit
Over 200 global figures from government, industry, and academia will gather at the University of Oxford on October 15–16 for the second annual OxGen AI Summit. The event aims to navigate the tension between rapid technological adoption and the preservation of human agency in an increasingly automated landscape.

The two-day conference, held at the Cheng Kar Shun Digital Hub at Jesus College, focuses on two primary challenges: the practical implementation of agentic AI within enterprise settings and the broader societal consequences of the technology. Discussions will address the transformation of global labor markets, the stability of geopolitical relations, and the protection of critical thinking.
Seventy speakers are confirmed for the program, including former Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, OpenAI’s George Osborne, and representatives from institutions such as UBS, GSK, and the Royal Academy of Engineering. The agenda is designed to facilitate cross-sector dialogue, moving beyond theory to examine how organizations can scale AI responsibly. Organizers emphasize that the summit serves as a forum for stakeholders to debate the ethical and economic frameworks that will define the next decade of digital integration.
