Bvlgari Serpenti and Oscar Heyman Pieces Lead $1.8M Morphy’s Auction
A rare Bvlgari Serpenti Jaeger-LeCoultre 18K gold diamond bracelet featuring a concealed watch fetched $177,600, headlining a $1.8 million auction at Morphy’s. The September 24 event in Denver, Pennsylvania, saw high-end jewelry and luxury timepieces draw significant interest from collectors, with an Oscar Heyman diamond necklace also hitting six figures.

The top-selling Bvlgari piece, a flexible three-coil bangle, captivated bidders with its intricate design, which includes 341 natural diamonds weighing approximately 10 carats and two round cabochon ruby eyes. The snake’s head hinges open to reveal the hidden watch, a hallmark of the iconic Serpenti line. Following closely, an Oscar Heyman natural fancy-color diamond necklace secured $132,000. This elaborate piece contains 850 diamonds with a combined weight exceeding 180 carats, set against a backdrop of 18K yellow gold and platinum.
Other notable results included a platinum graduated diamond statement necklace that realized $66,000 and a Patek Philippe Aquanaut Luce wristwatch, which sold for $54,120. A 14K yellow gold multi-color sapphire necklace, featuring over 135 carats of stones, brought $52,800. The auction also saw a Rolex Cosmograph Daytona in 18K Everose gold reach $31,200, matching the price achieved by an 18K white and yellow gold ring set with a 3.21-carat fancy yellow diamond. A David Webb emerald, ruby, and diamond bracelet rounded out the highlights, hitting its high estimate of $30,000.
