CollPlant Raises $3.7 Million to Advance Laser Supercomputing
Rehovot-based CollPlant Biotechnologies has secured $3.7 million through a private placement of shares and warrants, drawing primarily from its existing investor base. The funding is earmarked to accelerate the development of proprietary laser-based supercomputing architecture and Laser Processing Unit technology under its subsidiary, LightSolver.

The company reached definitive agreements to issue 989,301 ordinary shares along with warrants to purchase an additional 1,483,952 shares. Each unit is priced at $3.74, with warrants exercisable immediately upon issuance and valid for five years following the effective registration of the underlying shares. H.C. Wainwright & Co. and Rodman & Renshaw LLC are managing the transaction as exclusive joint placement agents.
CollPlant expects the deal to close around October 14, 2026, pending standard closing conditions. Beyond R&D for LightSolver, the firm intends to allocate a portion of the capital toward general corporate purposes and working capital. This move underscores the company's dual focus on its origins in regenerative medicine and its recent expansion into deep-tech photonic computing.
