Nuvion Joins Forces with EbonyLife Place to Bridge Africa’s Creative Gap
London’s Nine Elms district now hosts a dedicated hub for African storytelling, following the launch of EbonyLife Place. To scale this cultural footprint, the venue has named Nuvion its official UK banking partner, aiming to provide the financial infrastructure required for African creators to operate seamlessly on the global stage.

The partnership arrives alongside the venue's inauguration, which secured backing from Mayor Sadiq Khan. While EbonyLife Place functions as a physical home for African film, fashion, and art—featuring the 160-seat Amani Auditorium—the collaboration with Nuvion focuses on the digital backbone of the industry. Nuvion will integrate its global payment rails and multi-currency account systems to help African businesses navigate the complexities of cross-border transactions and international fund management.
Keisha Clark, Managing Director at Nuvion, noted that the move is designed to dismantle the financial barriers that often hinder African creative entrepreneurs. Mo Abudu, founder of the EbonyLife Group, emphasized that the collaboration extends beyond banking, serving as a conduit to connect creators with the networks necessary for global expansion. The two organizations plan to sustain this momentum through a series of business and cultural programs scheduled throughout the coming year, starting with Film Africa screenings slated for late October.
