Wipfli Associates Log Over 2,000 Volunteer Hours in Annual Service Day
Across the United States, 660 Wipfli employees stepped away from their desks on September 24 to dedicate 2,298 hours of service to 64 nonprofit organizations. The firm’s 22nd annual Community Day saw staff tackling projects ranging from local food bank operations to affordable housing construction.

The initiative serves as a practical extension of the advisory firm’s corporate values, moving beyond internal policy to tangible local support. In Rockford, Illinois, a team led by partner Jason Smith assisted the Northern Illinois Food Bank, providing fresh food to more than 500 families. Meanwhile, in Schaumburg, volunteers partnered with Feed My Starving Children to pack 36,936 meals, a volume sufficient to sustain 101 children for an entire year. Dean Roder, director of alliance management, spent the day with Habitat for Humanity, emphasizing the long-term community benefits of providing stable housing for young families. CEO Kurt Gresens noted that the day highlights the firm's focus on collective effort, allowing staff to invest their energy directly into the neighborhoods where they live and work. Beyond physical labor, the Wipfli Foundation is expected to distribute over $106,000 this year through its Community Support Program, providing associates with charitable giving credits to direct toward nonprofits of their choosing.
