Fluence Energy Investors Sue Following $3 Billion Market Cap Collapse

A securities class action lawsuit now targets Fluence Energy after the company's stock price plummeted 73% during a turbulent fiscal year. The litigation centers on allegations that the energy storage firm misled investors regarding the operational status of its critical Houston manufacturing facility and overall revenue projections.

The legal action, filed by Hagens Berman, represents investors who purchased Fluence securities between November 24, 2025, and September 16, 2026. Plaintiffs contend that company leadership concealed significant production failures, specifically that the "fully automated" Houston plant relied on manual welding processes instead of the promised automation. These undisclosed technical hurdles prevented the company from meeting its backlog obligations and forced a 20% reduction in 2026 revenue guidance.

Investors first encountered signs of trouble on February 4, 2026, when Fluence reported unexpected margin compression and mounting net losses. The financial situation worsened by August, with the company posting a $44.3 million net loss for the third quarter. CEO Julian Nebreda Marquez eventually attributed these shortfalls to construction delays and the inability to ramp up domestic production. Hagens Berman partner Reed Kathrein is now investigating whether management knew of these welding issues well before they were disclosed to the public. Affected investors have until November 27, 2026, to file as lead plaintiffs.
