American Battery Solutions Launches Aventor 800V Battery Platform
At The Battery Show North America, American Battery Solutions unveiled Aventor, an 800-volt battery platform engineered for heavy-duty commercial and industrial use. The system features domestic cell sourcing to meet BABA compliance, offering manufacturers a high-density, ruggedized power solution designed for rapid integration into diverse vehicle architectures.

The platform delivers 113 kWh of energy with a peak discharge power of 358 kW, achieving volumetric energy density of 300 Wh/L. Designed to handle the physical rigors of industrial environments, the system includes two primary form factors: a chassis-integrated pack for standard horizontal mounting and a hyper-rugged cube variant built to withstand extreme vibration and shock. Both configurations are rated IP67 and IP69K, ensuring protection against dust and high-pressure water ingress.
Engineering vice president Jeffrey Donaldson noted that the system utilizes a wire-free battery management architecture to reduce complexity while enabling granular cell-level monitoring. The platform supports fast charging from 10% to 80% in under 42 minutes, a critical metric for high-utilization fleets. With safety certifications including ASIL-C under ISO 26262, the company aims to reduce the validation burden for OEMs. American Battery Solutions, a subsidiary of Komatsu, plans to deliver customer samples in 2027, with full-scale production of 6,000 units annually scheduled for the first quarter of 2028.
