Investors Face October 20 Deadline in AEVEX Securities Class Action
Investors who purchased AEVEX Corp. shares during the company’s April 2026 initial public offering have one week left to seek appointment as lead plaintiff in a federal class action lawsuit. The litigation, filed in the Southern District of California, targets allegations of deceptive practices surrounding the company’s secondary share offerings.

The lawsuit, Rosenberg v. AEVEX Corp., claims that the defense technology firm and its private equity owner, Madison Dearborn Partners, LLC, misled shareholders regarding a 180-day lock-up agreement. While the IPO documents indicated a commitment to restrict share sales, the complaint alleges that the firm secretly coordinated with underwriters—including Goldman Sachs, BofA Securities, and Jefferies—to bypass these restrictions through a premature secondary public offering.
Market reactions to these disclosures were sharp. When AEVEX announced its intention to sell eight million additional shares on June 1, 2026, the stock price dropped 16%. A subsequent 7% decline followed the June 5 filing, which finally disclosed the waiver of lock-up requirements. Investors seeking to lead the case have until October 20, 2026, to file with the court. Serving as lead plaintiff allows investors with significant losses to oversee the litigation strategy, though participation in potential recoveries does not require this formal appointment.
