TripleLift Integrates Uber Advertising Data for Open Web Targeting

Advertisers can now leverage Uber’s consumer movement and purchase data across the broader internet, marking a shift for the ride-hailing giant’s ad business. TripleLift has become the first partner to integrate these high-intent signals into its marketplace, breaking the data silos that previously confined commerce insights to Uber’s own applications.

The collaboration allows brands to tap into Uber’s first-party signals—derived from daily travel and shopping patterns—and apply them to campaigns running on TripleLift’s premium inventory. Advertisers access these audiences through Private Marketplace deals, which are compatible with standard display, native, and online video formats across mobile and web environments.

TripleLift CEO Dave Helmreich noted that the partnership aims to bridge the gap between commerce environments and the open web. By pairing Uber’s data with TripleLift’s creative formats, the companies intend to provide a more effective path for omni-channel performance. Josh Butler, Global Head of Advertising at Uber, emphasized that the move helps brands connect with consumers both before and after their physical interactions with the Uber platform. This integration marks a broader industry trend toward moving commerce media offsite, allowing platforms to extend their data reach while providing buyers with more precise targeting capabilities.
