St. John’s Athletics Unveils First Jersey Patch Deal with AlumniFi
St. John’s Athletics has secured its first-ever jersey patch sponsorship, appointing AlumniFi as the official credit union of the university’s sports programs. Starting with the upcoming exhibition against Drexel, the company’s logo will appear on uniforms across eight sports, marking a significant shift in the department’s commercial strategy.

The agreement, facilitated by Learfield’s St. John’s Sports Properties, represents one of the largest financial commitments in the department’s history. According to Vice President and Director of Athletics Ed Kull, the move is a direct response to the increasing pressure on colleges to generate revenue in a changing landscape. The partnership extends beyond branding, as AlumniFi plans to launch financial literacy workshops and career development sessions for student-athletes.
AlumniFi President and CEO April Clobes stated the deal aims to deepen the credit union's footprint in the New York region while supporting the broader university community. Beyond the uniforms, the company will secure a prominent role in gameday fan experiences, including the sponsorship of the upcoming men's basketball "white-out" event at Madison Square Garden. The collaboration also includes influencer marketing campaigns featuring select Red Storm athletes.
