Nel ASA Secures $12 Million Hydrogen Electrolyser Contract
A major U.S. technology firm has commissioned Nel Hydrogen US to supply multiple containerized PEM electrolyser units in a deal valued at approximately $12 million. The order for the company’s MC-series platform, confirmed on October 13, marks a significant commitment to on-site hydrogen production for large-scale technical operations.

The units are scheduled for delivery in 2027, with manufacturing slated for Nel’s facility in Wallingford, Connecticut. Todd Cartwright, Chief Commercial Officer at Nel, noted that the contract reflects growing demand for the MC platform among clients with stringent operational requirements. The containerized design allows for rapid integration into specialized environments, prioritizing high performance and modular scalability for industrial users. This agreement bolsters Nel’s position as a provider of hydrogen infrastructure, reinforcing the company's focus on supporting decarbonization across heavy industry and technology sectors.
