Voxel Acquires Ventral AI to Scale Industrial Computer Vision
San Francisco-based Voxel has absorbed the engineering team from Ventral AI, a firm known for deploying vision models on moving transport fleets and complex construction sites. The acquisition bolsters Voxel's System of Reality platform, which converts standard security camera hardware into real-time analytical tools for industrial and data center environments.

The integration follows a year-long strategic partnership between the two companies. By bringing Ventral AI founders Matko Kulaš and Luka Žagar into its core engineering organization, Voxel aims to accelerate its expansion into European markets and tap into specialized technical talent from the region’s top universities. The move provides Voxel with enhanced capabilities to manage supply chain volatility and labor constraints for its global enterprise clients.
Vernon O'Donnell, CEO of Voxel, noted that the additional engineering power is critical to meeting the rising throughput demands of industrial leaders. The company, which recently secured the 71st spot on the Inc. 5000 list, plans to use the combined expertise to refine its diagnostic software, which identifies root causes of operational risks in real-time across manufacturing and distribution sectors.
