The new entity, 3C Datalec, integrates liquid cooling expertise with mechanical and electrical engineering, ODM manufacturing, and facilities management. By uniting these disciplines, the company aims to offer a singular partner for data centre operators handling the intense power and cooling demands of modern AI workloads. The firm currently employs approximately 1,000 staff and manages projects across 16 countries, serving four of the five largest hyperscalers alongside various enterprise clients.

To support international growth, 3C Datalec plans to hire 200 engineers over the next year and open new facilities in Warsaw, Calgary, and Austin. CEO Steve Walton, formerly of CoolIT Systems, emphasized that rack densities have outgrown traditional air cooling, necessitating a unified approach to system design and operation. To address the global shortage of specialized talent, the company is launching an internal university offering apprenticeships and career development programs, complemented by an employee equity scheme.
