MADD Sports Named Finalist in 6th Annual Anthem Awards
Mothers Against Drunk Driving has been named a finalist in the 6th Annual Anthem Awards, earning recognition for its MADD Sports initiative. The project leverages the influence of athletes and coaches to promote impaired driving prevention and mental wellness, securing a spot in the Health category’s community engagement sector.

The Anthem Awards, established by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, celebrate organizations making measurable social impacts. MADD Sports was selected for its efforts to integrate safety advocacy directly into the culture of student-athletes, universities, and professional sports leagues. By fostering conversations about responsible decision-making, the initiative aims to reach younger demographics through credible voices in the sports community.
Stacey D. Stewart, CEO of MADD, noted that sports possess a unique capacity to shape cultural norms and inspire behavioral change. The organization is currently competing for an Anthem Community Voice Award, a distinction determined by public participation. Supporters have until October 29, 2026, to cast their votes, with the final Gold, Silver, and Bronze award winners scheduled for announcement on November 5.
