Stars unite in Beverly Hills for mental health benefit play
The Wallis in Beverly Hills transformed into a stage for advocacy last night as a star-studded ensemble cast gathered for a one-night-only performance of "THIS IS CRAZY!," a new work by playwright V. The production served as a high-profile fundraiser for the National Alliance on Mental Illness.

Marisa Tomei, Rosanna Arquette, Lois Smith, Natasha Rothwell, Rudy Pankow, and Rob Morrow headlined the performance, delivering a series of intimate monologues that explored the complexities of survival and family dynamics. The evening, which also featured performances by Rachel Hilson, Colette Hayes, Luke Ferrari, Olivia Oguma, Carol Ades, Milo Maharlika, and Michael Govan Hackett, aimed to dismantle the stigma surrounding mental health struggles.
Organized by CAA Community & Impact, the event was held in memory of talent manager Chris Huvane. The production, spearheaded by mental health advocate and NAMI National Board Member Ruth-Ann Huvane alongside executive producer Tony Montenieri, directs 100% of its proceeds to NAMI. Executives from NAMI National, NAMI California, and NAMI Westside Los Angeles praised the performance for turning individual storytelling into a broader instrument for community connection.
