Blackbaud Giving Fund Distributes $536 Million to Global Nonprofits
More than $285 million in corporate matching funds fueled a record-breaking year for The Blackbaud Giving Fund, which disbursed a total of $536 million to 124,000 organizations in 2025. This surge in capital highlights the growing reliance on workplace giving programs to expand the reach of individual charitable donations.

The 2025 disbursements spanned 76 countries, pushing the fund’s lifetime total beyond $3.3 billion. By leveraging corporate matching, employees effectively doubled the impact of their personal contributions, creating a critical revenue stream for nonprofits. Catherine LaCour, CEO of The Blackbaud Giving Fund, noted that these employer-backed initiatives transform individual acts of charity into a scalable force for community support.
Efficiency remains a primary driver of this growth, with a significant portion of grants processed electronically to ensure rapid delivery. To further streamline these efforts, the organization utilizes the Blackbaud Verified Network, which provides nonprofits with a platform to increase visibility among 9 million potential donors. This infrastructure allows organizations to secure funds more transparently and deploy resources where they are needed most without unnecessary delays.
