Buccaneers Team Up With Summit Care to Boost Local Rehabilitation Efforts
Nearly 5,000 residents across various care facilities traded hospital beds for tailgate games on September 18, marking the launch of a new partnership between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Summit Care Management. The collaboration aims to merge professional sports engagement with long-term rehabilitative care and community wellness initiatives.

The alliance focuses on enhancing the quality of skilled nursing providers throughout the Tampa Bay area. By integrating the team’s brand with clinical recovery environments, Summit Care Management intends to foster a more vibrant recovery experience for its patients. Buccaneers Chief Commercial Officer Atul Khosla noted that the team sought a partner equally committed to the customer experience, viewing the collaboration as a way to amplify rehabilitative care efforts.
Events kicked off with tailgate-themed parties featuring team memorabilia, food trucks, and appearances by cheerleaders. Beyond the festivities, Isabelle Jean-Obrien, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Summit, emphasized that the partnership serves a broader mission of supporting local residents on their path to renewed independence. The healthcare firm plans to host additional community-focused events throughout the autumn season to maintain the momentum of this outreach.
