E.A. Buck Financial Services Secures Minority Investment from LNC Partners
After four decades of operating as a family-led firm, Honolulu-based E.A. Buck Financial Services is accelerating its national expansion. The company secured a strategic minority investment from LNC Partners, a move designed to fuel mergers, acquisitions, and technological upgrades while keeping the Buck family firmly in control of the organization.

The capital injection marks a transition for the second-generation firm, which was founded in 1980. Chief Executive Officer Katie Buck plans to use the new resources to scale a platform that currently spans wealth management, retirement planning, and tax services. Republic Capital Group acted as the financial advisor on the deal, identifying LNC Partners as a rare institutional backer willing to support the firm’s vision without requiring a surrender of ownership.
LNC Partners, which has managed over $1 billion since 2012, specializes in providing growth capital to founder-led businesses in the lower middle market. For E.A. Buck, the partnership represents the next logical phase in a five-year strategy to build a national presence. By bringing in external capital, the firm intends to attract top-tier advisory talent while preserving the entrepreneurial culture that defined its early growth in Hawaii.
