SANY Renewable Energy Extends Turbine Lifecycle to 25 Years
At the China Wind Power 2026 conference in Beijing, SANY Renewable Energy announced a shift toward long-term asset performance by extending its turbine design life to 25 years. The company also unveiled a service roadmap for 2030, targeting an intelligent, AI-driven ecosystem to manage its global wind power portfolio.

The upgrade, debuting on the 915 platform, recalibrates the economic outlook for wind projects. By engineering key components for a 25-year span, SANY projects a 56–58% increase in generation profit and a 6–7% reduction in the levelized cost of energy. Select 6.X–11.X MW models have already secured certification for this extended operational window, aiming to mitigate the financial pressures of modern grid integration and volatile electricity pricing.
To support this hardware longevity, the company is pivoting toward an automated service model. SANY currently maintains a fault rate below 0.09 with an average recovery time of four hours. The 2030 vision integrates AI-driven spare parts management and digital employee coverage to create a self-diagnosing network. This technical shift is bolstered by recent international endorsements: UL Solutions certified the SI-17580 model, while TÜV Rheinland validated the company’s steel-concrete hybrid tower technology. Furthering its reach, SANY entered a strategic partnership with JD Industrial to combine product manufacturing with expanded distribution channels.
