Bybit Expands Percentage of Volume Orders to Spot Exchange

Dubai-based crypto platform Bybit has extended its Percentage of Volume (POV) order functionality to its Spot exchange. The tool, which automatically fragments large buy and sell orders based on real-time market liquidity and volume, aims to help institutional and retail traders minimize slippage when managing significant positions.

Since its introduction for Futures traders in May 2026, the POV strategy has seen a ninefold increase in its user base, with participants averaging over $300,000 in monthly trading volume. By dynamically adjusting sub-order sizes to match market flow, the system allows users to pace their entry or exit strategies without triggering adverse price swings often associated with high-volume trades.

Traders can now select from three execution modes: Traded Volume, which bases sub-orders on market activity; Opposite-Side Liquidity, which targets order-book depth; and Same-Side Liquidity, which utilizes Post-Only Maker orders. The mechanism requires no additional strategy fees beyond standard spot trading commissions. Users can define specific participation rates, order frequencies, and stop conditions directly within the platform’s interface to align with their individual risk management priorities.
