Far Eastern New Century Unveils Circular Textile Tech at TITAS
At the Taipei Innovative Textile Application Show, Far Eastern New Century Corporation showcased a suite of high-performance materials destined for the 2026 World Cup. The manufacturer highlighted its pivot toward a fully circular economy, moving beyond traditional recycled polyester to advanced textile-to-textile recycling and mono-material footwear designs.

The company’s latest performance material, FENC® TopCool® Petal, is now integrated into jerseys for global teams competing in the 2026 World Cup. Engineered with a petal-shaped fiber cross-section, the fabric improves moisture management and opacity, addressing common issues with athletic wear during high-intensity play. This technology reflects FENC's broader strategy of combining profiled-fiber engineering with ergonomic design to maintain its status as a top-tier supplier for international professional sports.
Beyond the playing field, the firm is aggressively pursuing its "100% polyester circular ecosystem" initiative. This effort includes the award-winning AirTek low-carbon polyurethane technology and a new mono-material synthetic leather, which secured an iF DESIGN AWARD 2026. Furthermore, a collaborative project with the Taiwan Textile Research Institute has produced a mono-material footwear solution that earned a 2026 R&D 100 Award, successfully tackling the complex challenge of recycling composite shoe materials. These advancements, paired with the high-strength FENC® Telix aramid fiber, demonstrate a shift in the company's portfolio toward both sustainable circularity and high-durability industrial applications.
