Xreal One Pro Plus: Incremental Upgrades for AR Glasses
Xreal has expanded its augmented reality lineup with the $599 One Pro Plus, a hardware refresh that pushes display brightness to 1,200 nits. While the device maintains the familiar aesthetic of its predecessors, the company is betting that improved ergonomics and a more tactile user interface will justify the premium price tag.
The display hardware marks a significant jump from the 700-nit output found in the standard Pro model. Beyond the raw brightness, Xreal updated its Real3D mode, doubling the frame rate for 2D-to-3D content conversion from 30Hz to 60Hz. These technical adjustments aim to reduce the visual fatigue often associated with early-generation smart eyewear.
Daily operation feels more intuitive thanks to a hardware-focused design shift. Users no longer need to navigate deep software menus to calibrate their environment; instead, the physical button rocker now handles adjustments for virtual screen size and focal distance. These refinements, paired with redesigned nose pads, prioritize long-term wearability over radical design overhauls.
