Pearson Launches Career Studio Suite to Bridge Employment Readiness Gap
As the workforce landscape shifts under the pressure of artificial intelligence, Pearson is launching two new platforms, Career Studio for School and Career Studio for Work, aimed at aligning academic training with professional requirements. The initiative seeks to create a seamless transition from middle school education to industry-recognized employment.

The new offerings integrate the Pearson Career Ready portfolio, which bundles technical education titles, simulations, and certifications from Pearson Certiport. Career Studio for School focuses on the K-12 sector, providing students with assessments to identify career pathways while granting administrators data-driven dashboards to track certification progress and student interests. This allows districts to move beyond traditional curricula and build individualized plans based on real-world job outlooks and salary projections.
For adult learners, Career Studio for Work targets colleges, universities, and corporate training environments. The platform assigns each participant a dedicated success coach alongside an AI tutor tailored to specific fields of study. Launching initially with pathways in information technology and health professions, the program mandates modules in AI literacy to ensure participants remain competitive. Pearson Chief Product Officer Tony Prentince noted that the move addresses the persistent disconnect between student skills and employer needs. Both products are currently in pilot testing and are scheduled for a broader release in 2027.
