Olympus Partners Sells MEI Industrial Solutions to 26North
Stamford-based private equity firm Olympus Partners has finalized an agreement to sell MEI Industrial Solutions to 26North Partners LP. The deal marks the conclusion of a transformative three-year period for the industrial service provider, which scaled its national footprint significantly while servicing high-growth sectors like semiconductors and data centers.

During Olympus' ownership, MEI expanded from 16 to 30 operating locations, entering major hubs including Chicago, Miami, and Richmond. The company quadrupled its indoor storage capacity to more than 10 million square feet, supported by seven strategic acquisitions. Under CEO Doug Dayton, the firm restructured its leadership and commercial operations while maintaining an industry-leading safety record across its 2,500-strong workforce.
Sam Greenberg, a partner at Olympus, credited the success to targeted investments in technology and a unified national platform. MEI, which specializes in rigging, machinery moving, and industrial logistics, will now transition to 26North ownership. Lazard and Baird provided financial advisory services for the transaction, which involves a firm managing over $12 billion in capital. The divestiture reflects Olympus' strategy of scaling middle-market companies before exiting to larger investment vehicles.
