L3Harris Faces Shareholder Probe Following CEO Ouster

A federal securities investigation into L3Harris Technologies has been launched by HGT Law, focusing on potential breaches of fiduciary duties by the firm’s leadership. The move follows the abrupt August departure of former CEO Christopher Kubasik, whose exit triggered a 4.6% decline in the company’s share price.

The inquiry centers on whether board members and executives failed to disclose material information regarding internal conduct or neglected their oversight responsibilities. Scrutiny intensified after reports surfaced that multiple employees had raised complaints about Kubasik’s behavior years prior to his dismissal. Documents suggest that a formal sexual harassment grievance was filed with human resources as early as 2023, yet the company’s leadership failed to address the pattern effectively.

This marks the second time in his career that Kubasik has faced removal over alleged misconduct. In 2012, he was forced to resign from his role as president-designate at Lockheed Martin following an investigation into an inappropriate personal relationship with a subordinate. Legal representatives at HGT Law are now examining the specifics of his separation agreement and the extent to which the company’s board was aware of these risks while maintaining public statements about corporate governance.
