MiniMed Finalizes Board of Directors for Independent Future
Following its formal separation from Medtronic, Northridge-based diabetes technology firm MiniMed has finalized its nine-member board of directors. The newly appointed leadership aims to steer the independent public company toward expanded growth and streamlined innovation in insulin delivery, glucose sensing, and integrated software solutions for patients worldwide.

Kevin E. Lofton continues his tenure as chair of the board, anchoring a group that now includes new appointees Amy Bricker and Tim L. Main. Their arrival marks the completion of a planned transition away from Medtronic-designated oversight, aligning the company’s governance structure with its status as an independent entity. The board’s expertise spans healthcare access, manufacturing, and commercial operations, which CEO Que Dallara identifies as critical to simplifying the daily management of diabetes.
Beyond Lofton, Bricker, and Dallara, the board features industry veterans including Glenn Eisenberg, David Endicott, Keith Grossman, Bob Hopkins, and Timothy Wicks. Each member brings specific experience in scaling medical technology and navigating public-company financial requirements. As MiniMed moves forward, this leadership team is tasked with integrating its portfolio of algorithms and clinical tools to reduce the burden of care for patients across 80 countries.
