Flex expands bill-splitting service beyond rent
Flex is broadening the scope of its subscription service, allowing users to break down a wider array of monthly financial obligations. Starting Tuesday, the app’s recurring payment functionality extends past traditional rent, incorporating major household costs into its flexible installment structure for a monthly fee of $5.99.

Previously limited to dividing rent payments into two smaller tranches, the platform now accommodates utility bills, insurance premiums, and mortgage payments. Users can also leverage the service to manage internet subscriptions and car loan installments. By diversifying the types of bills eligible for this split-payment model, the company aims to provide more granular control over monthly cash flow for subscribers who struggle with the timing of large, lump-sum due dates.
