AT&T Integrates Google Gemini into Connected Life Security Suite
AT&T has overhauled its Connected Life security platform by integrating Google’s Gemini for Home, marking the first time a dedicated home security product leverages the AI to interpret video feeds. Subscribers can now use natural language to query their camera history or generate automated daily summaries of property activity.

The integration allows users to search recorded footage through conversational prompts, such as identifying who left a package or investigating yard disturbances. Beyond search capabilities, the system provides granular descriptions of events captured by cameras. AT&T is also introducing geofencing features that automatically arm or disarm the security system based on the user's proximity to the residence.
These advanced AI functions are locked behind the premium $29.99 monthly professional monitoring plan. Launched last December in collaboration with Google and Abode, the Connected Life system now utilizes Google’s specialized Gemini-powered Home APIs. While AT&T is the first to deploy this functionality, competitors like ADT have signaled similar plans to incorporate Gemini features into their own security ecosystems in the near future.
