Morgann Book on BookTok, Romance and the Future of Reading
For literary creator and podcaster Morgann Book, books are more than print: they can be digital files, too. On The Vergecast, she discusses BookTok’s enthusiasm for romance and romantasy, the role of physical books in a digital life and why she is not worried about reading’s future.
Book joins the show to talk about her work as both a reader and a creator of book-related content. The conversation explores why romance and romantasy have found an audience on BookTok, and how physical books can provide a counterbalance to life spent online.
The episode also considers reading’s future, a prospect Book says does not worry her. The Vergecast is available to watch or listen, with an ad-free option.
