Apple’s 13-inch M5 MacBook Air returns to $1,099.99
Apple’s 13-inch MacBook Air with an M5 processor is available for $1,099.99 at Amazon, Best Buy and B&H Photo, a $200 discount and the lowest price seen since July. The offer applies across all color options for the base configuration, which includes 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

The laptop’s base model briefly sold for about $950 to $1,000 after launching in May, but discounts have been rare since July. This is the second time it has dropped to $1,099.99 since Apple’s substantial price increases over the summer.
The 15-inch M5 MacBook Air is also $200 off. Amazon, Best Buy and B&H Photo are selling its 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD configuration in most colors for $1,299.99. Compared with the 13-inch model, it has a larger screen, six speakers instead of four and two additional GPU cores.
The Air costs more than Apple’s newer MacBook Neo, but offers double the RAM and storage, a faster CPU with more cores, better speakers, a backlit keyboard and a larger, higher-resolution display. The source recommends consulting reviews of both the MacBook Neo and M5 MacBook Air by Verge reviewer Antonio G. Di Benedetto, published before the summer price increases.
