LEOTEK Integrates Physical AI into Traffic Infrastructure
At the ITS America 2026 conference in San Jose, LEOTEK unveiled its Interlux AI Smart Traffic Signal platform, designed to convert standard intersections into intelligent sensing nodes. By deploying edge computing and multimodal sensors directly at the roadside, the system aims to enhance real-time traffic safety and operational efficiency.

The Interlux platform moves intelligence away from centralized data centers, processing radar, computer vision, and traffic data directly at the intersection. This decentralized architecture allows for rapid response times regarding emergency vehicle preemption, traffic incident detection, and the protection of vulnerable road users. By integrating these capabilities into existing infrastructure, LEOTEK provides a pathway for cities to modernize their traffic management without requiring complete system overhauls.
Beyond immediate signal control, the system is built to support V2X communications, effectively positioning intersections as active participants in connected transportation ecosystems. As cities face increasing pressure to resolve congestion and improve roadway safety, this shift toward Physical AI offers a method for turning static infrastructure into responsive, data-driven assets. LEOTEK, which operates out of Silicon Valley and Taipei, continues to focus on this transition, aiming to assist municipal agencies in deploying more resilient and connected urban networks.
