HaystackID Launches COMET to Address EU Mobile Communication Oversight

The new Compliance Oversight for Mobile Electronic Transmissions (COMET) tool provides recurring, targeted collection of business communications. It arrives as agencies including the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority and Germany’s BaFin ramp up scrutiny of mobile messaging, mirroring enforcement trends seen in the U.S. since 2021. According to John Wilson, CISO and president of forensics at HaystackID, European firms face a specific challenge where compliance captures today directly dictate the success of future regulatory investigations and civil litigation.

Beyond COMET, HaystackID is showcasing a broader suite of AI-driven tools at the InterContinental O2, including the Case Insight platform for generative AI-based document analysis and a Privacy Hub designed to map PII exposure across disparate datasets. IDC projects the global governance, risk, and compliance market will reach approximately $22.8 billion by 2029, a trend driven by the integration of cybersecurity and legal functions. To navigate these risks, Wilson will join a panel on June 17 to discuss cross-functional cyber governance and the avoidance of costly regulatory failures.
