CorTrust Bank Taps Jack Henry to Modernize Tech Stack
With $1.5 billion in assets and a century-old footprint across South Dakota and Minnesota, CorTrust Bank is shifting its digital infrastructure to Jack Henry. The move aims to replace manual workflows with an integrated platform, enabling the community-focused lender to scale its agricultural and commercial services more efficiently.

The partnership centers on a trifecta of core, payment, and digital solutions designed to automate back-office tasks. By deploying the Banno Digital Platform and JHA Card Processing Solutions, CorTrust expects to unify its retail and commercial banking channels into a single, cohesive experience. This transition is intended to free up staff time, shifting the internal focus from operational maintenance to direct customer engagement.
Jack Hopkins, President and CEO of CorTrust Bank, noted that the decision was driven by a need for greater agility in an evolving financial landscape. The bank’s leadership specifically prioritized Jack Henry’s open ecosystem, which allows for integrations with over 1,000 third-party fintech providers. This flexibility ensures that the bank can curate specialized financial products for its diverse markets, ranging from small agricultural towns to the competitive Twin Cities metro area.
