Armadillo and SOLD.com Partner to Modernize Home Warranties
A network of 100,000 real estate agents is gaining access to a digital-first home warranty platform as Armadillo and SOLD.com launch a nationwide partnership. The collaboration aims to replace traditional, cumbersome closing gifts with instant, user-friendly protection plans designed for the modern home buying experience.

The program allows agents to instantly enroll buyers through a streamlined digital portal, addressing a common pain point in real estate transactions: the anxiety surrounding unexpected repair costs after moving in. By moving away from legacy warranty models, Armadillo provides a fully digital claims process that can be completed in under two minutes and offers a "Bring Your Own Repairman" option, allowing homeowners to utilize contractors they already trust.
Matan Slagter, CEO and co-founder of Armadillo, noted that home warranties have historically been treated as an afterthought at the closing table. Through this integration, the company hopes to shift that perception by offering transparent, flexible plans that provide value long after the transaction concludes. Nicholas Thomas, Director of Partnerships at SOLD.com, added that the move gives their agents a distinct competitive advantage, providing a tangible service that fosters client retention and trust in a crowded housing market.
