Inolex Targets US Sunscreen Market with Bemotrizinol Stabilizer

Following the regulatory approval of bemotrizinol for the U.S. market, Philadelphia-based Inolex has launched LexFeel® Enhance MB. The technology aims to solve consumer complaints regarding sunscreen texture by creating stable, high-SPF formulations that prioritize both dermatological protection and a premium, non-greasy sensory experience for daily use.

LexFeel® Enhance MB utilizes a specialized polymer network designed to stabilize organic UV filters, including bemotrizinol (BEMT). In vivo testing indicates that the ingredient can boost SPF performance by 25-30%, allowing formulators to reach SPF 50 ratings more efficiently. By replacing traditional solubilizers, the product enables sunscreens to spread evenly while providing a cushiony, moisturized finish that avoids the heavy or sticky residue common in existing market offerings.

Efficiency remains a core advantage of the new additive. Internal data shows that 5% of LexFeel® Enhance MB can stabilize 6% of BEMT for up to 12 weeks, significantly outperforming benchmark emollients like C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate. Because the product requires lower concentrations to achieve these results, formulators can maintain product stability without compromising the skin-feel profile. Inolex developed the ingredient using AI-accelerated research methods to expedite the transition from formulation to commercial launch as companies scramble to integrate the newly approved UV filter into their product lines.
