A delegation of 34 startups and 61 supply chain partners arrived in Paris this week, marking Taiwan's eighth consecutive appearance at VivaTech. Operating under the Taiwan Tech Arena initiative, the group aims to translate the government's "AI Taiwan" strategy into tangible industrial solutions for the European market.

The pavilion, designed to mimic a European streetscape, serves as a hub for demonstrating how artificial intelligence moves beyond theoretical research into daily life and industrial infrastructure. Officials including Ambassador Clémentine Pei-Chih Hao and NSTC Director General Der-Sheng Lin inaugurated the space on June 17, underscoring the shift from showcasing isolated technologies to presenting comprehensive "total solutions."

This year’s strategy reflects a push for deeper integration into global value chains. Many of the participating firms are already active in France, positioning themselves to capitalize on stringent net-zero regulations and the burgeoning demand for local AI compute infrastructure. By emphasizing application scenarios, the delegation intends to provide international enterprises with a clearer view of how Taiwanese hardware and software can support smart living ecosystems.
