Sunparl Integrates Sustainability into IoT Retail Expansion
With 8.2% of annual revenue channeled back into research and development, Zhejiang Sunparl Zkong Technology is pivoting its operational model toward long-term sustainability. The company’s inaugural 2025 ESG report reveals a strategic push to embed green, low-carbon IoT solutions into the global retail infrastructure it currently provides to 3,000 brands.

The report, independently assured by SGS, highlights the role of the ZKONG subsidiary in driving this transition. By leveraging low-power e-paper display technology and SaaS cloud platforms, the firm aims to minimize paper waste and optimize resource allocation across 200,000 retail locations. These efforts are supported by a broader environmental management system, including ISO 14001 certification and the utilization of rooftop solar arrays at the company’s primary manufacturing facility, which have been operational since 2017.
Governance and security remain central to the firm’s expansion strategy. Sunparl has formalized an ESG committee under its Board of Directors to oversee risk control and business ethics, while ZKONG has secured ISO 27001 certification for information security. These standards facilitate the company’s reach into key international markets, including the United States, Japan, and the European Union. Beyond operational compliance, the company is investing in human capital through a partnership with Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, focusing on IoT data security and technical training to sustain its long-term innovation roadmap.
