The partnership aims to establish a regional diagnostics hub capable of serving Saudi Arabia and 18 neighboring countries across the Middle East and Northern Africa. Central to this expansion is the unveiling of a high-capacity, automated manufacturing line at Co-Diagnostics' Utah headquarters, designed to enable rapid scaling of diagnostic test kits.

Co-Diagnostics CEO Dwight Egan emphasized that the venture combines proprietary molecular testing hardware with local expertise to bridge regional diagnostic gaps. Beyond physical manufacturing, the project incorporates the Co-Dx PCR platform, which utilizes artificial intelligence and cloud-connected surveillance to monitor infectious disease trends in real time. Ihssan Rjoob, CEO of CoMira, noted that the infrastructure is foundational to the venture's goal of enhancing local healthcare resilience. While the technology is currently undergoing regulatory review, both companies are positioning this automated framework as a blueprint for future international diagnostic infrastructure.
