Momentum Technologies Enters TIME's World's Top GreenTech List
Carrollton-based Momentum Technologies has secured a spot on TIME’s World's Top GreenTech Companies 2026 list, marking a milestone for its proprietary Membrane Solvent Extraction platform. The recognition highlights the firm’s progress in refining critical minerals and rare earth elements through more sustainable, energy-efficient recovery methods.

This global acknowledgment follows back-to-back appearances on TIME’s America’s Top GreenTech lists in 2025 and 2026. The company’s core innovation, MSX technology, allows for the extraction of high-purity materials like lithium, nickel, and cobalt from both primary ore and secondary sources such as industrial waste and recycled battery black mass. By utilizing modular units rather than building massive, resource-heavy plants, Momentum aims to reduce the environmental footprint typical of conventional mineral processing.
CEO Mahesh Konduru credited the achievement to the team’s consistent growth and the successful launch of a fully operational rare earth element recovery line earlier this year. Developed in partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy and Oak Ridge National Laboratory, the platform is designed to bolster domestic supply chains for strategic materials. TIME and Statista evaluated nominees based on financial performance, innovation, and measurable environmental impact, finalizing their latest rankings on June 9.
