DFSK Launches Right-Hand-Drive E5 PLUS to Capture Asian Markets
DFSK marked a pivotal shift in its global strategy at the 2026 International Automotive & Supply Chain Expo in Hong Kong, unveiling the right-hand-drive version of its E5 PLUS SUV. This strategic move aims to solidify the brand’s footprint across Southeast Asian markets by integrating localized technology into its hybrid vehicle lineup.

The E5 PLUS RHD variant leverages the SERES Super Hybrid System, boasting a combined driving range of up to 1,200km under WLTP standards. Beyond hardware, the manufacturer has heavily customized the vehicle for regional demands, including adaptive driver assistance systems like Lane Centering Control and refined voice interaction interfaces that support Traditional Chinese, Thai, Indonesian, Malay, and Vietnamese. These features are designed to function seamlessly within the specific traffic patterns and weather conditions common in target territories.
Production efficiency remains central to this expansion. By utilizing automated facilities in Indonesia and Vietnam, DFSK intends to shorten supply chains and respond rapidly to local consumer needs. President Amy Gong described the model as the vanguard of a product portfolio renewal aimed at balancing green innovation with daily family utility. To support this rollout, the company is implementing a new service architecture that prioritizes spare parts availability and digital technical support, attempting to address the common pain points of international vehicle ownership.
