The company’s latest progress report details the evolution of its environmental strategy, which now includes validated near-term targets and a net-zero pathway approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). Beyond internal operations, Crown is shifting focus toward its supply chain to tackle upstream emissions, particularly regarding aluminum decarbonization. The firm also disclosed its first set of nature-related financial impacts, aligning with broader transparency frameworks.

Timothy J. Donahue, Chairman and CEO, credited the water milestone to disciplined operational execution. Looking toward 2030, the company plans to concentrate efforts on water-stressed regions and deeper value-chain collaboration. The report follows Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and aligns with the UN Global Compact, reflecting a broader attempt to embed resource efficiency into the firm's rigid packaging business model.
