The conference, titled "Accelerating the Digital Economy through AI and Quantum," splits its focus between the immediate challenges of generative models and the long-term infrastructure required for quantum computing. ANSI president Laurie E. Locascio emphasized that these standards serve as the critical infrastructure required to govern and accelerate the adoption of frontier technologies.

The morning session addresses the rapid shift toward autonomous AI agents, with experts from NIST, Microsoft, and the Frontier Model Forum examining new risk-management frameworks. Discussions will shift in the afternoon to the commercialization of quantum systems, highlighting Colorado's emerging role as a hub for photonic and ion-trap development. This segment features key figures including IonQ co-founder Chris Monroe and Elevate Quantum CEO Zachary Yerushalmi, who will discuss the collaborative foundations needed to move quantum research from the laboratory to the marketplace. The event is open to engineers, policy professionals, and investors, with U.S. Senator John Hickenlooper providing opening remarks.
