FranklinWH Targets European Residential Market for 2027
With electricity costs climbing and grid volatility intensifying across the continent, California-based FranklinWH Energy Storage is preparing a 2027 entry into Europe. The company is debuting its integrated residential battery and management platform at Intersolar Europe 2026, leveraging its experience managing over 25 utility-led virtual power plants in the U.S.
The FranklinWH system consolidates battery storage, solar energy management, and electric vehicle charging into one architecture. Using lithium iron phosphate (LFP) chemistry, the platform scales between 15 and 225 kilowatt-hours per aGate controller. Its software autonomously adjusts energy flow based on real-time household consumption, local weather patterns, and fluctuating electricity pricing.
Vincent Ambrose, Chief Commercial Officer at FranklinWH, frames the move as a dual-solution approach: addressing homeowner demand for lower bills while providing utilities with the flexible grid resources necessary for modern energy infrastructure. The company plans to replicate its U.S. model, where users are compensated for discharging stored energy back to the grid during peak demand.
To support the transition, FranklinWH is currently vetting distributors and installers at Intersolar Europe in Munich. The firm intends to lean on its existing global network of 4,000 authorized partners to facilitate deployment, with specific distribution agreements and regional product details expected to follow ahead of the 2027 launch.
