Concepcion’s advocacy follows a viral Players' Tribune essay that detailed his experiences with stuttering during his record-setting tenure at Texas A&M. Rather than avoiding the spotlight that comes with an NFL career, he is using his platform to address the fear of judgment that often accompanies speech differences. The partnership aims to provide families with a more direct path to professional support, bypassing the isolation that frequently stalls development in children with communication disorders.

According to CDC data, approximately 1 in 14 American children lives with a communication disorder, yet nearly half of these individuals remain without necessary intervention. Expressable, which has supported 20,000 families to date, utilizes a virtual model to reach those in underserved regions. Leanne Sherred, the company’s President and Chief Clinical Officer, noted that the collaboration focuses on the critical importance of early intervention. With 96% of Expressable patients reporting clinical progress within five sessions, the initiative seeks to ensure that children can develop the confidence to speak without fear.
