Haisco Licenses Two Oncology and Complement Drugs to Nuvectis
Haisco Pharmaceutical Group has inked an exclusive global licensing deal with U.S.-based Nuvectis for two experimental drug candidates, HSK42360 and HSK39297. The agreement grants the American biotech development and commercialization rights outside of Greater China and specific Southeast Asian territories, aiming to fast-track these therapies for international patient populations.

The deal involves a significant financial package, with Haisco set to receive an initial $40 million payment. Total potential milestone payments could reach $1.421 billion, supplemented by tiered royalties on future net sales. The contract stipulates that the first four milestones may be settled in cash or common stock, provided equity does not exceed 40% of the total value. The agreement remains contingent upon Nuvectis securing sufficient capital to fund the development of both programs.
HSK42360, a BRAF paradoxical breaker inhibitor, is currently in Phase I trials in China and targets primary brain tumors and metastases. HSK39297 is a CFB inhibitor with two NDA applications submitted in China for paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria, with additional indications currently in late-stage clinical development. For Haisco, the partnership serves as a strategic move to leverage Nuvectis’ R&D expertise while expanding the reach of its own pipeline, which currently includes over 50 projects across diverse therapeutic areas.
